Rear hatch will not open & the motor has been replaced . I will power down & will power back up if stopped prior to being closed . button in glovebox is on & working correctly.

Hello, when you say "power down" do you mean command the lift gate to close? And that it stops closing if stopped on the way down? That sounds normal? Help explain better what the perceived issue is.
