What is your question?
I am having remote and inside locking issues with my 2003 RX 300 Lexus, vin jtfhf10u530305103, 150,000 miles. The issue is not actuator related, the previous owner had the actuators replaced at the Dealer. The remote fob will lock and unlock the driver's side as well as the trunk. Inside, the car locking switch will lock and unlock the driver's side as well as the trunk. The outside passenger's key lock will lock and unlock the passenger side door as well as the trunk. I just bought this car. The previous owners were the original owners and they had maintained the car well, strictly going to the Lexus Dealer. When I bought the car they advised me they needed a new door lock / relay / cpu to fix the problem (that is what the Lexus Dealer advised them). 1) Is there a relay / CPU related to the door locking? 2) Does replacing the relay / CPU sound correct? 3) If needed, where would the door lock relay / CPU be located? 4) Item number. 5) Diagram or pic of CPU / relay.
How long has your 2003 Lexus RX300 had this problem?
long time

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. The issue with your RX 300 could be related to a faulty Main Body ECU. The Main Body ECU manages many of the car's electrical functions, including door locks. Replacing the Main Body ECU could fix the problem, but it's important to have a proper electrical diagnosis completed to avoid replacing unnecessary parts. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
