What is your question?
We just purchased a 2001 LEXUS LX470 with 90,000. The long test drive all seemed well. However, the next two weeks the ABS light and alarm would sound for several minutes while driving. This happened nearly every time we drove it. The braking was crisp. The dealer agreed to replace the ABS module last week after I played to him continuous shrill ABS/VSC alarm that I video taped for him. When we took the car into the repair shop for ABS module replacement, the brakes were crisp-clean, no play in the brakes or the brake pedal. Now, I need to pump the brakes for a crisp stop. I depress my foot a long way to brake. There is too much play in the brake pedal. The brake fluid level seems adequate. The ABS light goes on momentarily when we start the car as is expected. I am concerned about safety. What can I expect the shop to do, to get the brakes in working order? What recourse do I have? I planned to drive this vehicle in areas with steep hills and rough terrain. Thank you!
What makes this problem better or worse?
Pumping the brakes improves stopping time
How long has your 2001 Lexus LX470 had this problem?
Four days.

Hello, it sounds like there still needs to be some brake system bleeding. The ABS system must be bled with a diagnostic tool as well as a manual brake fluid system bleed. Do not continue driving this vehicle until they have another look and bleed the brakes. This is a definitely serious safety issue.
