Just for a drain and fill 4quarts is the right amount but i would suggest a whole system flush to remove all (8quarts) old fluid from transmission.

You can only drain (2 quarts) of fluid on an LS400 transmission for the drain and fill procedure. Total Capacity is 8.8 quarts.
