why my dashboard doesnt work

you need to check the trunk lid wiring harness. at the point where the harness goes thru the hinge, peel the cover back and look for broken insulation in the wires. you will need to "build" a new section of harness and solder it in place. if you're not handy with electrical stuff, take it to a good shop that know what they are doing.
