I am thinking about purchasing a LS400. Can the Lexus run on regular gas?

In short term usage, you can get away with it. In theory, the sensors of the vehicle will "detune" the engine to function with the lower octane fuel. However, you risk internal engine damage by using anything less than premium fuel for a longer term.
