Have you tried cleaning the MAF sensor? It's an easy repair and doesn't cost much. My IS was also reporting misfire error codes along with a bad O2 sensor (p0141 and p0147). I cleaned the mass air flow sensor and unconnected/reconnected the battery cables to reset the CEL light. Took it out for a drive (normal drive cycle) to allow the car to rediagnose any problems and my problems disappeared. No error codes reporting and the CEL light stayed off. I'm glad I tryed this before replacing a good O2 sensor ($500). The MAF sensor cleaning takes about 15 minutes and costs about $8 for the can of Electronics Cleaner (recommended by the Lexus dealership repair manager).
