How much should it cost to reseal a transfer case?

I got quoted 1300 US To replace both seals at the acuator. Going to wait n shop that price. Dealer said he has to drop the Trans to get to it others including the Internet said you may not need to do that. So the jury is out until I recover from my last lashing on another repair on that truck. But with that being said I love my GX And until it gets too costly to fix or I can't bleed anymore $ I'm keeping it.
