My 2004 gs 300 is struggling to start after it sits parked for an hour or more.

What is your question?

When I turn the key, in the ignition, the engine struggles to start. Sometimes, I need to get a jump to start it. I have a new battery, my alternator is fine and once it's started, the engine hums like it's new. What could be the trouble? It's baffling, can you help?

Check the battery connections, test the battery and alternator.

Hey Charles Automotive! Thanks for the tip. The alternator is good, the battery is new and I cleaned out the corrosion to the battery connectors. But, the car continues to do the same thing. What makes it even more bizarre is that I parked the car all day, yesterday and it started right up. This morning it struggled again. It's a real head scratcher.
