Car stuck in park

Hello, if the shift lever will not move from park, it is most likely that the shift lever interlock is not releasing. This is most likely caused by a brake light switch that is not working properly -- either the switch or wiring connector to the switch. When there is a loss of brake light switch functionality, the shift interlock will not release from park because it isn't seeing your foot on the brake pedal. Check here first.
