What is your question?
We own a 2010 ES350 Lexus. Rear seat belts lock up after being buckled. Also, difficulty when fastening rear seatbelts. We have over 222225 kilometres. We have been having this issue for a few years now. The dealer where we purchased this used Lexus, told us it was not a warranty issue because the car is out of warranty. We have owned this particular model for 9 years and we love it! Years ago we had seat belts replaced in another vehicle and the dealership, not Lexus, told us seat belts are a lifetime warranty because of the safety concern. So, are they? I also noticed the front seat belts are getting sluggish when being fastened. Are other Lexus owners having seat belt issues? What do you recommend we do? Repair for sure, that we know. Is this a common concern with this Lexus model that is covered under warranty?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing. We have to unbuckle because it fetches up then rebuckle it again.
How long has your 2010 Lexus ES350 had this problem?
A few years.

Hello, first bit of advice -- if you pull the safety belt all the way out in the rear seat, then the retractor will lock and will not release. Not sure if this is what you mean or not. I will say that safety belts are typically not "defective", so I try to learn about the circumstances they are not working as desired and see if I can help. Lexus does not have that kind of warranty, I'm sorry. Seat belts are "sluggish" to retract and release when they get dirty sometimes too.
