What is your question?
Came on first drive after rear-end collision repair. mileage=62K; vehicle checked every 3mos. Shop says unrelated to collision, $943 estimate to fix! Insurance says not related. Awful coincidence or something more?

Shop said it's an O2 sensor located in the front of the vehicle and therefore not triggered by rear-end impact. But I also read that the codes are often misdiagnosed. And if, in fact, it is an O2 sensor, the estimate given is double the high average for repair. Thus, I've lost confidence in the shop.
