engine light went on and I took car to repair shop; they did something to make the light go off (they had just given the car complete maintenance for $3500 six weeks before). So I drove off knowing everything was fine. Couple of weeks later I was driving on freeway and engine started smoking,,k red engine light went on so I had to have car towed and engine is dead. What would it cost to replace it with new or used engine? I was given an estimate of $10,000 for new engine and $7,000 for used, including installation.
