What is your question?
I replaced my a/c compressor and evaporator due to car not cooling properly. Now the problem exists- the repair guy says that the leak need to be fixed by taking the whole front dashboard out requiring 7-8 hrs labor and costing 1000$+!! they could not find a leak initially and so the a/c compressor was changed. Please help with ideas. Thanks

There are parts inside the dash that can leak refrigerant. They are expensive to replace due to the time involved. What was the reason they replaced the compressor and evaporator? Replacing those parts did not resolve your problem. They need to give you some assistance with the repair.
Thanks for your reply. The car had a rattling noise also when a/c was turned on ( told it was some broken pieces inside it). The noise is gone since replacing the compressor but car stopped cooling after few weeks. The mechanic thinks there is a little leak for which the whole dashboard needs to come out! I am concerned about taking out the whole dashboard.
