What is your question?
When engine is hot, sometimes the RPM needle will drop below 1 when I'm at a complete stop and sometimes when I stop to put it in reverse How long have you had this problem? Since I purchased the car in May

Hello, There is a good change you have an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) or idle air control (IAC) issue. Also, if there is a dead spot on your throttle position sensor, it can lead to this issue due to lack of input. I advise scanning the vehicle for trouble codes first, and let me know what codes you get back. Those will help understand operating conditions.
Hello and thanks for responding, I've taken it to a Toyota dealership and they couldn't find any codes. The check engine light never came on but the car still does the same thing.
Ok, test the throttle position sensor. It may have a dead spot. Also, you can put the car in neutral while driving and let the car roll without pressing the gas. See if it does then.
Yes, I've tried to put it in neutral when I would come to a red light and it still shut off on me 2 out of 5 times
Test the throttle position sensor, check the idle air control valve for carbon buildup, and make sure the EGR system is clean and sealed as well.
Ok I'll do those 3 things and keep you posted
Sounds good, I'll be here.
