Shit engine light on change both sensors still saying P0 500 odometer doesn’t work or speedometer
What makes this problem better or worse?
Got up this morning went outside to the key my odometer was on my battery died and put a new battery in and it went off again
How long has your 1997 Lexus ES300 had this problem?

Hello, ensure you have a known good battery that can hold a charge in the vehicle. Also ensure nothing is discharging the battery and that the charging system works as it should. Following this, if you have a P0500 code, you could also have a wiring issue or a wiring connector issue at the appropriate vehicle speed sensor. Ensure you are working with the correct one. Also, a diagnostic tool capable of monitoring data is helpful to figure out what is going on -- you can look at the sensor output to see if something is not reading properly before it goes to the instrumentation. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
