What is your question?
Is there any benefit to preemptively replacing the oil pump before it fails and ruins the engine. what are your recommendations.

I believe in any type of preventative maintenance you can do to help prevent problems down the road, and peace of mind.
I agree with answer #1. My question would be ............WHY? How many miles on engine and has it been maintained well? Is oil pressure a problem?.......Just curious........Don't know much about Land Rovers.......
A known problem with 2003 Discoveries (I have one) is that many motors were produced with out of spec tolerances causing an oil pump failure. There is a TSB available showing what vin ranges were included. According to Land Rover, the only solution is a new motor. I have an 03 within the range. Previous owner had a pump failure. I replaced the front cover (inclues the new pump) and will run it until I get a new motor (I believe I also have a slipped liner - tell tale tapping noise when warm). There are a few places online that sell rebuilds with correct blocks including top hat liners installed. Cost is about 7k for the motor.
DO NOT replace the oil pump!!! I have one of the so called death rovers. Those that have vins that fall the category marked as bad. The oil pumps all blew when they were new Under 30,000. If it has not gone, it will not! I have talked to many rover mechs over the years and all of they say replacing it is simply throwing your money away. If you are worried about it, get a rebuilt engine from British Atlantic. That is the only way that you could ever come close to peace of mind with a rover.
Idont have any service records but the car is immaculate. No issues with oil pressure to date but its vin number is consistant with the manufacturers warning about these oil pumps. If they fail I'll need to replace the whole engine.because it usually destroys the camshaft in the process. 75,800 miles
#1s 'peace of mind' sounds good to me then! Enjoy your LR.
