What is your question?
This just started yesterday. There was no warning & the oil was just changed in January. I have to start off driving manually & then switch over to automatic.

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Miss Fire, Mr. Fire, they're all bad! Ugh. I can't help it. It's the dad in me that forces bad jokes. It sounds like you have either a failed spark plug or plugs, an ignition coil or coils, or something else going on. The flashing check engine light is your car less than politely asking you not to drive it until it's repaired. Your best bet is to get to a shop ASAP and have the code pulled. That'll point you in the right direction. One final note: Kias has notorious oil-burning issues. I'd recommend you change the oil every 7k or six months if it's a synthetic or every 4k or four months it's a synthetic blend. I'd also periodically check the oil level to ensure it's full. If you need more advice, have other questions, or need to find a certified repair shop in your area, just let me know!
