What is your question?
I had my pads and rotors replaced 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I noticed a very load high pitched noise coming from the front drivers side tire as I was driving. When I apply the brakes the sound stops. Today I drove it and didn't hear the noise until I had been driving for about 15 mins.
What makes this problem better or worse?
As I drive faster the sound gets louder
How long has your 2016 Kia Sportage had this problem?
Noticed it yesterday

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Those brakes need to give you break! Seriously, it may be an installation error. When the shop replaced the pads, they may have installed them or the hardware incorrectly. I would return to the shop that performed the work and let them know what's up. The fact that they're making noise when the brakes aren't applied sounds like they're slightly rubbing against the rotor until friction is applied. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554! If you're uncomfortable returning to the shop that performed the work, we'll gladly find you a certified RepairPal shop in your area!
