What is your question?
Problem immediately became apparent day after a new replacement motor was installed by kia for free. The old engine with 78000 miles the AC compressor worked just fine, and ignition switch had no observable or known starting issues. Once newer replacement engine was installed by kia the AC immediately stopped working (i was since told its the ac compressor). The ignition switch with key inserted demonstrates latency/hesitancy once ignition key is turned on. Both issues ac and ignition became self evident immediately upon new engine install is when car being was returned back to us by our kia dealer. Dealer wants $1000 to repair ac, and has nothing to say for latency with ignition switch

Hello, this sounds quite frustrating, to be sure. The unfortunate part is that if the compressor has indeed failed, there is no way to correlate this to an engine replacement or engine failure. The same with your ignition - first, they'd have to duplicate the concern then determine what is causing it. You can certainly get second opinions from a non-dealership shop near you. If they find something related to engine replacement, then you'll have information to share that could help you get help. If not, then you'll have an independent assessment at least and maybe a better price for repairs. You can also reach out to Kia itself, corporate, to share your concerns and plead your case for assistance. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
