while accelerating my 2010 Kia Sportage makes a whining noise when accelerating.
What makes this problem better or worse?
only occurs when accelerating.when coasting or in motion noise is,nt there

Hello, whining noises can be hard to figure out. Obviously online here it'll be impossible to tell you, but here are some thoughts: 1) Tires can make a harmonic noise that can create a whine. 2) A transmission or differential internal noise can make a whine, such as a worn bearing or a gear. 3) Wheel bearings can whine. 4) Components driven by the engine - such as the alternator or power steering pump can whine. These are just a few possible causes. It's best to have a trained technician listen in to give you some opinion.
