What is your question?
My friends kia sportage was parked running and then just died. Lights and all electrical still worked. Wouldn't turn over. Tried to jump it wouldn't turn over. Co2 sensor and another sensor was on. When trying to crank it sounded like it was scratching more than trying to start. Still had full power to make the start but wouldn't.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing made it better. I pushed it into a parking spot.
How long has your 2008 Kia Sportage had this problem?

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. When you say it won't turn over - do you mean the engine will not crank at all? Or it cranks and does not start? Don't concern ourselves about "sensors" and other components because the engine is not running. Nothing can really be measured until it is. Those will not prevent the engine from starting. Engines need to turn - with the starter motor and electrical power. Then, they need ignition spark, fuel delivery and proper air flow to start and run properly. Something failed and is missing - troubleshooting is needed to figure out what and why. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
