I changed all three of my drive belts in 2023 and the power steering started squealing shortly after that, fast forward to November 2024 my pump failed fully, so I replaced it and the squealing is now much worse. Every time I start it or try to make a turn, it just screams at me. I need help, I’m at a loss. Thanks in advance. I’ve called shops and they said that it doesn’t sound like the rack and pinion, I just can’t afford to get it looked at right now

Check the tightness of the drive belts. They will loosen with wear and will need tension adjusted. Squealing is a result of a load on the belt driven components that allows the belt to slip.
It is also true that binding components or worn components like a power steering pump, alternator or air conditioning compressor -- not too mention idler pulleys - can cause binding and noise.
Check here first. And yes, you may need some help from a shop near you.
