i have a 2002 kia spectra...hubby was driving to work one afternoon and it just quit on him...timing belt broke....when it broke it also took all the valves except for 2...had to get the heads redone...hubby and i did all the work ourselves....with having to order new valves, get the head redone, timing belt and all we're about $640 deep....still having problem with mine now...the idle air control valve is gone out..having problem finding it to replace it....but after repairing the head, valves, etc and timing belt it seems to have a lot more power...just if we can find this idle air control valve now....kia has two different motors...an interference motor and non interference motor....and ofcourse i had to have the interference motor which we were told if timing belt brakes then most ususally it's gonna take the valves....this is just from our own experience....
