What is your question?
The motor trie’s over but won’t. Change out the battery and battery cable but it still will not crank. But I can hear it trying to turn over and crank.
How long has your 2016 Kia Soul had this problem?
More than a week

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If you can hear it trying to turn over but not fully catching, that's actually a helpful distinction. A slow labored crank could still point to a weak battery connection or a failing starter even with the new battery and cables. But if it's cranking at a normal speed and just not firing up, the issue is likely fuel or spark related rather than electrical. A no start that cranks normally could be pointing toward a fuel pump, crankshaft position sensor, or ignition issue. Checking for spark and fuel pressure would be a good starting point to figure out which direction to head from here.
