Hi. My 2013 kia soul (1.6) went into limp mode yesterday. I shut it off and let it sit for a minute or so. I restarted the car and it ran/drove fine…was able to drive home…~4 miles. I broke out my code reader and there were no fault codes.
There was no check engine light associated with limp mode.
Also, the car needed a used steering column recently due to someone trying to steal it. At that time the mechanic also had to replace a fuse in order for the auto door locks to work correctly.
Wondering if it is safe to drive the vehicle to my mechanic or if it should be towed?
