I have a 2017 Kia Sorento that at times will not start Yesterday I was at the grocery store with groceries in my car I go to turn the ignition and again nothing. The ligths come on the horn blows but the car will not make a sound. After 20 minutes of turning the ignition off and on then it start this is the 8th time this has happened and its getting very old. I have taken it to the dealership they say they can not find nothing wrong unless the car shuts down completely. We I do not want to be out of town somewhere stuck when it eventually shuts down completely and then in stranded. any help.

nothing

Sorry to hear about this issue. These can be very frustrating. Unfortunately, we won't be able to diagnose an intermittent issue like this online. I'd hate to have you start throwing parts at the car because that can be very costly. If the car is not still under factory warranty and if you prefer to have a shop take a look then use this link to find a good shop near you. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops Alex
I have the Sportage 2017 and have had starting issues since the 1er month (2 years now)…..won't start (sporadic) I turn everything off then try again and thankfully is starts again on 2nd try...sometimes is seems as thou it's wont, the engin sounds as thou is about to die, but it manages to turn on ...…..I have brought it in 3 times for this and they can't figure out what the problem is......they asked for both my keys hoping it was just deprogrammed (?) that didn't work ….last time I left it to them for 4 days....it didn't do it. Basically they told me next time it happens call a tow truck and bring it in so we can run a diagnostic on the spot......unfortunately the times it does happen I am not in a good place to call a towing (knowing it will start on second try). Sadly, I love my Kia for the drive and comfort, but have no trust in it!
