What is your question?
My 2006 Kia Sorento LX 2 wheel drive started getting hot when the a/c was turned on. When I turned the air conditioner off the engine would return to proper operating temperature. Then it started leaking coolant from rear of engine. At first I thought that was the overflow for the reservoir but now it seems to be one of the heater hoses leaking. We have flushed, replaced radiator, upper and lower radiator hoses, the thermostat on 3 occasions, the reservoir and radiator cap. Dang, I think that is all. I have a couple of questions. Does the lower radiator hose have a spring in it? What would make the engine run hot (the a/c turned hot as well) with the air conditioner running yet cool without the a/c? Why does the a/c air get hot when engine gets hot? What causes white smoke? Is there a second drain plug for coolant located on the engine block in addition to the plug on the radiator?
What makes this problem better or worse?
The air conditioner, now it always runs hot. The fan does turn on.
How long has your 2006 Kia Sorento had this problem?
A couple of weeks

Hello, I do not know for certain if the lower radiator hose has a spring in it. The engine could run hot especially with the AC on if there is any weakness in the cooling system, but especially if the cooling fans are not working properly, so check that out. The AC gets hot when the engine gets hot because -- again -- perhaps there is no cooling from fans or air flow is restricted through the radiator and condenser. White smoke out the tail pipe can happen from condensation (unsure what "white" looks like in your situation), or could come from an internal engine coolant leak, such as from a cracked cylinder head or head gasket failure. I would not jump to that conclusion, though, without performing more testing.
