My 2003 Kia Sorento Cranks, but won't start.

I got a 2003 Kia Sorento Ex, the fuel pump wires & plugs burned, I replaced them with 1 with 9 wires,the wires that was on it had 10,it will crank,but won't start,it runs while you're spraying it. the 10th wire is blue,it is not connected to anything.Mechanic says the blue is not hot. When I turn the key on I don't hear the fuel pump come on.Can you help me,can you send me the 10 wires & plugs off of a 2003 Kia Sorento Ex, I think that's what I need,he think I need a Computer.Any Help. P.S. Can you diagnostic a car if the check engine don't come on? Thank You all for whatever advice you have. His Love & Mines, William
