it has been stalling or shutting off while driving and the check engine light comes on but it was starting right back up ... then it wouldn't start at all --- i had it towed to a family mechanic who said that's the problem ... he told me it was 8 hour job
I just had this problem. I was getting a P0240 code and was confirmed by the mechanic. He charged me about $886 to replace the cam sensor and serpentine belts. He wanted to charge me at least $800 more to replace my timing belt which he said looked worn. When I questioned why he was charging me so much sense he was already looking at the belt. He told me he could only see the belt and that he would have to do so much more work to get to the entire belt.
