depends on if a 70 amp or an 80 AMP or a 110 amp alternator.see NAPA Auto Parts, rather than AZ,ADV,ORLY,PEP BOYS.Napa has the best parts, been around since 1925!!
I tried to go cheap and bought an alternator from a local part store, twice the part was not giving out enough amp. They told me my car uses a 70 amp. I'm going to get the alternator from Napa but am worried I will have the same problem. Would an 80 amp or 110 help this problem or would they even work ?could they have just been cheap alternators I bought from local part store?
if you bought it from the the ZONE,ADV,or ORLY,YOU ALWAYS HAVE THEM TEST THE NEW/REMAN ON THEIR MACHINE IN THE STORE before leaving with it! seen to many of those BAD,right out of the box.that's why they give you a LIFETIME WARRANTY on it,high return rate on em.Yep,you get another one free because they know it will fail.NAPA has a very low return rate on ANYTHING!how do they know your car takes the 70 AMP? WHAT was the original one you took off?should have had a label/sticker on it,Mando,Valeo, etc.
I had AZ test, it past. Was mando 70 amp. Still not charging battery . gonna get from Napa now. Should I get the same 70 amp or go with a bigger amp.also will the bigger amp work and fit?
if the Mando 70 amp was the original i would go back with that one.if your battery is dead, then you will have to charge it with a battery charger first.the alternator will not do it.it only maintains the charge on the battery,it don't/won't charge the battery.....................
