How do I repair a non-working speedometer on a 2003 Kia Sedona mini-van?

Hello, Do you have any check engine light on?Does anything else not work on the instrument cluster or dashboard? The vehicle speed sensor may have failed as well, or could have become damaged/unplugged. It is located on the exterior of the transmission, extends into the transmission where it meshes with a gear.
