Trying to put gas into the car but the pump stops as though the tank is full. The dash is reading 1/4 tank.

Hello, do you know if your tank is actually 1/4 full, even if the gauge says so? Could it be that you're actually full? If not, you could have an evaporative emissions system issue.. The evaporative emissions system could create a vacuum unintentionally due to a lack of venting of the system. This could cause the fuel to overflow as air inside the tank is now allowed to be displaced by the incoming fuel. Testing is required. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
