What is your question?
I drove from Fresno to Los Angeles with the TPMS light on and just wanted to hear a mechanic's opinion on that. Should I be worried about having caused a lot of damage to a tire? What would be a symptom of something troublesome?
How long has your 2011 Kia Rio had this problem?
It's been on and off again

The TPMS light comes on for two reasons. First, to note that one or more tires are low in tire air pressure and that an imbalance of pressure among tires has been noted. If you check all tires and they are all at the correct air pressure per the tire pressure specifications on then door tag, then indeed it was safe to drive, with the understanding that there is a problem in the TPMS system somewhere. That's the second possible cause of the light coming on. If the tires are all inflated properly, you'll need to have the system checked out.
