My speedometer works until the engine heats up then it goes down to 10 mph.

It will jump from 10 to 40 and back. When it rains it seems to work better. The car does not like hot weather and I live in Florida.

The speedometer receives it's signal to display the proper speed from a speed sensor at the transmission. You will need to determine if it is a sensor issue, a wiring issue, an internal transmission issue, or a speedometer head issue. Lots to check here.
