What is your question?
Daily driver/commuter car. Goes about 80 miles a day. This car starts and runs but stutters/fails over 3000 rpm... Starts very hard now. Check engine light is now on but not flashing. This car has a history of burning oil but no starting problems. Usually very good about checking oil but must have let it get too low this time. Went to start it the other morning and it would not stay running. Checked the oil and it was very low. Filled the oil and now the car will stay running but has issues over 3000 rpm and starts very hard.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, Assuming that oil starvation caused the issue, the engine would not be likely to continue running much longer, or would be billowing blue/gray smoke from the tailpipe on acceleration. There are many issues that can cause these symptoms, and I recommend scanning for trouble codes before you consider which way to proceed with the car.
