Im having issues opening my trunk. The switch on the door dont work, the key fob dont open the trunk and neither does the button on the trunk. The emergency switch doesn't work either. I checked the fuses on the inside and out side and no issue. My seats do fold down but the lever is in the trunk. And the arm rest back does not open up into the trunk. I have tried every thing I can think of I used Google and even ChatGPT and I was told to reach out to a locksmith or a mechanic. Ive called a locksmith and no help and now here I am.
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. You are saying the emergency release cable does not release the trunk even if you get in through folded down rear seats? If the trunk will not open - it is one of 2 things causing this problem: 1) The trunk lock actuator (motor) is not working (but the manual release would still work) 2) The trunk latch is jammed or damaged (which would prevent motor or manual release from working) It is really that simple. It appears you need to get someone who can help you to assist.
