Ambient sensor shows lines when it shows degree the ac is hot

The display inside of my 2014 Kia optima LX has lines. When it shows temperature it is negative degree in F. Which then blows hot air from air conditioner.

What makes this problem better or worse?

When sensor is wet it will display degree
