What is your question?
Recently, while driving my 2013 Kia Optima. The car shifts fine until I put it in drive. When driving and the car picks up speed and even sometimes just going at an average pace, the car automatically shifts into sportmatic transmission/manual transmission. Is the transmission going, a wiring problem? I don't know what it is
What makes this problem better or worse?
Shift
How long has your 2013 Kia Optima had this problem?
A week

Hello, If you have paddle shifters, see if the issue happens when you turn the steering wheel all the way both directions. Maybe a parking lot would be useful. If not, the issue may be one of the paddles, or even the shifter assembly. I would be surprised if it was anything else.
Hi, sorry to hear about your issue. If you aren't accidentally putting into the sport mode then it could be a module issue. Make sure you aren't moving the shifter over towards you. Alex
Not pulling the shift towards me. I don't have paddle shifters either. But I sometimes believe when I turn left or right in directions it shifts by itself. Hope it's not a wiring issue
I would first suspect the shifter assembly, but that is without inspecting the vehicle. Even if it is an electrical wiring issue, finding that a wire is broken typically makes for an easy repair. It's when you can't replicate the problem that makes it hard to fix. I would recommend trying to figure out exactly how to make it happen, and then bring it to a technician for diagnostics. If you bought the car new, your warranty should cover all repairs. If not, go to somewhere other than the dealership.
