2008 Kia Optima engine is stalling when its raining, no control

My 2008 Kia Optima LX has been losing power or stalling out when it rains, I don't have control with the steering or the brake is real hard to push. It has only done this during periods of rain while driving. Any ideas before I get killed in this car?
