My ignition is stuck on lock and i've tried everything do i need a new ignition

Hello, You can try tapping the key into the ignition. It might not be seated all the way in. Just give it a couple of taps to see if it will drop in just a little bit more, but don't hit it so hard that you bend or break the key. If the key is going all the way in, you can try moving the gear shift, wiggling it back and forth to try and release the ignition switch.
