You could always check the throttle body. It could be dirty and prevent it from working properly. Also, take a peek at the mass airflow sensor (MAF). If it's dirty or faulty, it can mess with the fuel-air mix.
Another sneaky culprit could be a vacuum leak. Look for any cracked or disconnected hoses. Lastly, while there's no check engine light, you might still have pending codes. A good scan tool can read those.
