my car is stutterin but doesn't stall

I have an 02 kia optima it stutters and I replaced the throttle position sensor two months ago ran fine check engine light came on week ago im thinking spark plugs but would that make check engine light come on and these are same symptoms for throttle position sensor but no code for that but going to get code later today
