I have noticed lately that once i crank my car, it will excelerate on its on. i turn the car off and crank it back up and it doesnt do it. Also When i'm driving it seems to act like it wants to cut off. While sitting at a stop light it feels like it wants to take off and my foot is on the brake. then it will cut off. i let it sit for a minute and it starts back up. I purchaced brand new battery. Took it to auto zone and got an diognostic reading, says possible ect sensor. but i have no idea what that is. what could be making my car do this.

SO DOES THAT CAUSE THE CAR TO CUT OFF AND EXCELERATE? MY CAR HAS NOT RAN HOT OR ANYTHING.
