What is your question?
I want to get a cold air intake for my kid forte, it’s a 1.6 liter single turbo but every cold air intake system I find that’s made for the same year forte u have are 2.0 liter intakes, is it ok for my specific car or would that ruin the performance more than improve it?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! When it comes to your 2023 Kia Forte with the 1.6L turbo, slapping on a cold air intake meant for a 2.0L engine might sound tempting, but it’s a bit like wearing shoes two sizes too big—just not a great fit. The air intake system is tuned for specific engine sizes, and mismatching could cause issues like poor airflow or unbalanced air-to-fuel ratios, possibly hurting performance more than helping. Your best bet is to wait for a 1.6L-specific intake, go custom, or not bother with that mod at all. Look for other mods to boost HP, like manifolds, exhaust, and tunes.
