What is your question?
I’m not sure if this is a problem or just a feature my car didn’t come with. My 2019 forte stopped itself if I was getting too close too fast to the car in front of me. It literally saved me from 3 or 4 rear end crashes. My 2021 Forte doesn’t do that. It just beeps loudly when I’m getting too close too fast to the car in front of me. And if it’s not a standard feature, can I have that feature installed and how much would that cost? There is a setting on the steering wheel for driver forward collision but that only sets the bell. It won’t stop the car.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing. It just beeps.
How long has your 2021 Kia Forte had this problem?
Since first day I bought it new

Hello, the anti-lock brake system will not stop your car on any vehicle ever made. It's a different system altogether - which you may or may not have in your Forte - that will activate the brake system to avoid a collision. I would strongly recommend to check with a product specialist at your selling Kia dealership to find out if your vehicle is so equipped, and if so, how to operate the system.
