What is your question?
There was a recent attempt at a break in with my car. They managed to get the cover for the key insert off and there is damage to the key hole itself. Would it be possible to get rid of the key hole and just have a door handle like the passenger handle? This would definitely help prevent it from being stolen. Please let me know if this is possible before I try to attempt this change.

I'm Dusty from RepairPal's Car Genius team; I'm here to help! I'm sorry to hear about the break-in attempt on your 2020 Kia Forte. While it might seem that removing the keyhole and having a door handle like the passenger side could prevent theft, it's important to consider why the engineers designed it this way. If the electronic systems fail, the keyhole is a crucial backup for accessing your car. Eliminating it could leave you stranded if the key fob battery dies or the electronic locks malfunction. And re-gaining entry to the vehicle could require unavoidable damage, which would come with severe costs. Ultimately, while this modification might be possible, it's best to consider the potential downsides.
