Ticking noise when I start the car noise gets more rapid when I push on the gas haven't driven it since noise started just changed timing chain and tensioner

Hello, the ticking could be coming from the replaced components, it could be coming from valve train components also. Some "engine ears" can be used to try and centralize the source of the noise. It's too hard to guess from here what you may be hearing. Was the noise present prior to replacing the chain and tensioner? Was this the reason or one reason that repair was made in the first place? Unfortunately it's going to take some persistence and troubleshooting to get to the bottom of the issue. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554. Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. So sorry to hear you're having trouble with your Forte. As DaveJM pointed out, the engine has many moving parts that can cause a ticking noise. Since the noise gets more rapid when you press on the gas, failing valve train components are a major suspect, but don't rule out the possibility that recently replaced components could still be the cause. Another possibility is that low oil pressure or a blocked oil passage could prevent some components from operating as designed, making a ticking noise. I recommend finding a trusted repair shop to provide a precise diagnosis.
