Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Hey there! Sounds like you're dealing with a bit of a hiccup in your Forte. It's never ideal when the RPMs are revving but the power isn't quite keeping up. And transmission issues can definitely throw a wrench in the works, but there can be other causes. Since you've only had the car for a short while and this has cropped up recently, intermittently from at that, it's worth having a professional take a look. Sometimes these things can be a quick fix, but it's always better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to your wheels. And the cost of a replacement transmission is quite the risky move, whereas a diagnosis is a much lower cost investment. Good luck getting it sorted out!
