What is your question?
This issue has been going on for a while now. The check engine light and tire pressure light have been on for a while. Every once in a while, especially when it's cold, the car has trouble starting, but simply holding the key in the ignition for a few seconds works fine. Recently, there has been a slight rattling sound, especially when the car is at a low idle. I checked some of the fluids tonight. I'm fairly certain the fluids are fine. The car could use another oil change, but it's not too bad. Tonight is when we had major issues... My wife drove the car out of town, and I ended up driving it back. While on the highway, it had a couple of problems where it would idle roughly and I couldn't accelerate easily. It happened a couple times and was short-lived. The car died when I came to a stop-light. It wouldn't start, even after a jump. It seemed to be smoking when I opened the hood, but even after cooling, it won't start. It makes a squeaking sound when I try to start it.
What makes this problem better or worse?
It's worse in cold weather.
How long has your 2010 Kia Forte had this problem?
Maybe a few months.
